Brick Tint

Brick Tint
The final colour of Brick Tint depends on the original substrate colour and its porosity. Colours displayed on screen may vary due to the limitations of digital representation and individual display settings. To ensure the most accurate representation and avoid disappointment, we recommend ordering sample pots. For more information visit our colour accuracy page.
AVAILABLE COLOURS
Colours displayed on screen will vary from colour of tint. The colour of the existing brickwork will affect the final colour. We strongly recommend testing a sample pot on an inconspicuous area of brickwork to ensure you are happy with the outcome. For more information visit our colour accuracy page.

Stonelux Paints
Thank you for your review, Marzena. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the product and your experience. You contacted us after finding that the Light Red Brick Tint appeared more orange than expected on your wall. We explained that all of our red-based Brick Tint shades do have orange undertones, as most traditional ‘red’ bricks in the UK are actually closer to an orange tone. We also clarified that Brick Tint is a translucent stain rather than a paint, so the final colour depends heavily on the surface it is applied to, including the base colour, porosity and number of coats. For this reason, a colour chart would not give a reliable or consistent indication of the final colour, which is why we do not offer one for this product. You also expressed concern about the accuracy of the colour shown on our website. While the images are accurate digital representations, how they appear can vary depending on the type of screen and individual display settings such as brightness and contrast. These are factors we unfortunately have no control over. This is why we recommend testing a sample product first wherever possible. We understand how frustrating it can be when a result isn’t quite what you were hoping for, and we’re genuinely sorry that this was your experience. We would like to reassure you that we were in no way trying to be dismissive or condescending. Our aim was simply to provide clear and accurate information to help explain what may have contributed to the outcome. If you do decide to explore another product or shade in future, we would be happy to support you further at that point. Kind regards The Stonelux Team
Tinting below damp course
Good application, even colour , so far water / rain does not effect finish. Colour matching on red rustic was difficult, had to add Bostic red dye to brighten colour . Purchase of dark red Stonelux tended to appear brown.
Trial colours
The ease of using is very easy unfortunately we could not get a match to the bricks used
Brick Tint
Pretty good stuff. You need several colours to get the colors required. Works well, but they tend to lighter when dry almost as if there is a white film over them. Still does a good job and it's hard to see a repair.
Brick tints
Good but would like a more solid colour to add to existing colour. For example a yellow oxide or red oxide
Really happy with product and outcome
Recommend trying a few samples to see how the colours react on the brick. Some samples were slightly thicker than others so would bear that in mind that it might be a bit more diluted for final product. When testing id recommend putting on 2 coats We picked medium red and light beige and really happy with outcome. Relatively easy to dye the brick just took a long time.
