Paint for our fire place
This paint is expensive but brilliant! Painted our stone fireplace with undercoat they recommended and then limestone 00 . Great results!
Love the paint but disappointed with the coverage
The website calculator was miles out. I bought 2.5 litres on the understanding id be covering 2.6sqm 3 times… I have managed to get 2 coats on one wall and one coat on half the other.. Had I known that I’d need to buy another 2.5L, id have purchased a bigger tub to start with and saved myself the carriage.. The finish is amazing but has cost me double the estimate

We’ve reviewed your order and can see that a primer was not purchased. Our online coverage calculator is based on the assumption that the full application instructions are followed, which include the use of Stonelux primer. Primer is an essential part of the application process, as it seals the surface and allows the topcoat to perform as intended. Where a primer is not used, the topcoat will absorb more readily into the surface, resulting in reduced coverage. Our coverage figures are provided on an “up to” basis. This is because surface types, textures and porosity levels can vary widely from project to project, and it is not possible to account for every variation in advance. Even small differences in surface condition can have a significant effect on the amount of product required. We hope this helps clarify things for both you and others considering the product. If you decide to use Stonelux again in the future, our team would be more than happy to guide you through the process to ensure the best possible results. Good Product
Overall the Stonelux paint was easy to use,covered well and was pleased with the results, the project I undertook was painting a resin stone effect fire place, fancied a change of colour great outcome, Found the container wasn’t like a normal tin, little tricky to reseal, used cling film to seal the lid as a safe guard, be prepared to have a couple of brushes at the ready as they do get clogged up, easy to clean with water and hand soap, would use again
I love the finish, looks so expensive. Really happy.
